SOFC CEO, John Boulous, expressed the Club’s excitement in the technical structure for the upcoming season.

“It is great to have retained some very talented coaches from last year to assist the ongoing development of our players, as well as adding some new coaches that bring a wealth of experience,” he explained.

“A strong feature of the Club’s technical structure will involve the coaches and their squads working together to create a positive football learning environment for our players across our male and female SAP and Youth programs.”

Olympic would like to welcome Paul Lombardo, Eric Hristodoulou, Yanake Tennant and Bill Papas back to the Club in coaching roles with our Boys SAP, Men’s Youth, and Women’s squads respectively for 2018.

Having been involved with SOFC in recent years, they will look to impart their knowledge to continue to develop our players throughout the season.

Eric is a former representative of the Australian U-23 squad and a Sydney Olympic legend having won the NSL Championship with Olympic in the 1989/90 season, and returns to a coaching role after several years of successful coaching with Sutherland Sharks and in previous years with Olympic.

We would like to thank George Beltsos, Demetri Giannopoulos, Peter Millis and Bruno Nobrega for their effort and contribution over many seasons and we wish them all the best for their future coaching endeavours.

While George Beltsos has made the decision to step down as Women’s First Grade coach, we are excited that he will continue to assist the Senior Women’s program in the coming season.
