Sydney Olympic U16s team proved to be a force in the 2010 premier youth league competition.
Team discipline, structure and never say die attitude was the core of the success which is testament to the coaching team and players throughout the campaign.
.
Given that more than half the team’s players were from lower divisions this had no bearing their skill and determination to be competitive in such a difficult competition.
The effort shown by all players during training and match day could not be faulted as 100% commitment was shown at all times.
This resulting in a top 4 finish in the league, a huge improvement from previous years.
The difficult circumstance of playing all our home games away was a huge disadvantage.
Knowing that home ground advantage is such a crucial part in picking up vital points may have been the difference in finishing within the top 3 and maybe Minor premiers.
We are very proud of the teams achievements both collectively and individually and a proud to have been involved with a truly die hard squad. The dressing room chanting of the famous O-L-Y-M-P-I-C after a win will not be forgotten.
