The Sydney Olympic FC Youth teams kicked off an epic day of football on Saturday at Belmore Sports Ground, with sensational performances and courageous displays observed from the olympic juniors.
The Sydney Olympic FC Under 13's maintained their undefeated streak and celebrated a 2 nil win over the visiting team, South Coast Wolves. The olympic juniors are on top of the ladder with 20 points obtained from 8 games. The boys have a hectic schedule ahead of them and will need to recover and prepare for their next opponent, the fourth placed Sutherland Sharks outfit, in what will be their third fixture in seven games. The 'olympic juniors' will be looking to keep their undefeated run intact in what will be an entertaining and challenging encounter.
The Sydney Olympic FC Under 14's side have been on a roll as of late and celebrated back to back victories after they defeated the South Coast Wolves 5 nil on Saturday. The olympic juniors issued a spectacular performance and appear to be in full confidence ahead of their next encounter against the Sutherland Sharks. The Sharks are in 4th position on the ladder and have only dropped the entire 3 points on one occasion thus far. Sydney Olympic are up for the challenge and hope to celebrate another victory this coming Saturday.
A brace by Anthony Krkovski and a Connor O'Toole strike saw the Sydney Olympic FC Under 15's side celebrate a 3-1 victory over the South Coast Wolves and their fifth win of the season. The recent victory has seen the boys advance into 4th position on the NSW Premier Youth league ladder. This Saturday the boys will travel to the shire and will meet the 3rd placed Sutherland Sharks outfit who are ahead of the olympic juniors via goal difference.
A stunning strike by David Ilic saw the Sydney Olympic FC Under 16's side share the spoils with the South Coast Wolves. The visitors obtained the lead in the opening half and converted from the penalty spot, to the disappointment of the Olympic side. The boys created several chances and were unlucky in their final delivery. With minutes remaining in the encounter, Ilic tried his luck from a far and capitalised for the 'Blues' with a spectacular drive. This Saturday, the boys will take on the 3rd placed Sutherland Sharks side who will not be willing to go down without a fight.
The Sydney Olympic FC Under 18's side dominated the travelling side, South Coast Wolves with a spectacular 4-1 score line. Drazen Vucer provided the 'Blues' with an early lead, before his team mate Billy Gunns added a second. The Wolves retaliated with a goal of their own but were unable to hold off Olympics' attack, as an own goal and a solo Petros Stefadouros effort enabled the olympic juniors to celebrate the three points. This Saturday the boys will encounter a difficult challenge when they meet the table leaders Sutherland Sharks at Seymour Shaw.
