Sydney Olympic FC 2010 Season Review: Under 14's

The team had a positive season. It rebuilt from 2009 after four players were selected in Project 22 and six new players joined the squad.

The team focused on implementing the National Curriculum, being the best skilled players/team and improving their decision making.

Throughout the season the team improved their ability to keep possession, to play out from the back, to play along the wide corridors and to play through the middle of the field with combination play and/or individual brilliance.

Being able to keep possession at different speeds was also developed as was their understanding of their roles in defence.

It was no surprise then to see the team playing consistently the best football of any team in the competition and the fantastic harmony amongst players and parents made it a very enjoyable season for all involved where not only did the boys develop as footballers but also as human beings.
