The Sydney Olympic Football Club signed a five (5) year Joint Agreement with the Eastern Suburbs Soccer Football Association dated 11 August, 2005 to jointly field, administer, manage and finance Premier League Youth Teams and Metropolitan League junior teams from 2005/06 onwards. The City of Botany Bay Council has sanctioned and approved the Joint Agreement by consenting to the long term use of the Hensley Athletic Field which is an excellent facility and meets all Soccer NSW criteria for Premier League Youth football. In a move designed to cement the Clubs identification as the representative senior Football Club in the eastern suburbs area, the Club had also approached the long time Mayor of The City of Botany Bay Council, Mr. Ron Hoenig with an invitation to join the Board of Directors of the Club for he duly accepted.
