Sydney Olympic FC Board of Directors

The board of Sydney Olympic are elected on a bi annual basis.  Some of the current board of directors are filling vacancies which were vacated by members elected in July 2004.
Directors are required to act competently, honestly, in good faith and in what they consider to be the best interests of the club.   Directors exercise care, skill and diligence in making decisions.
The board's primary functions are to:

• nominate directors, elect a president and appoint senior managers;
• set objectives, define policy and develop strategy;
• interpret corporate culture, ethical standards and people rationale into everyday acts;
• specify authorities of president, senior management and board;
• provide leadership, planning, organisation, control and succession;
• approve short and medium term tactical, technical, operational and financial plans;
• monitor performance against agreed goals;
• check that the employees, customers, suppliers and society get a fair deal from the club and that a proper balance exists between their interests and those of members;
• account to members for the results;
• ensure present plans and actions provide for the club’s continuity;
